Piancavello is an ideal resort for schools looking for pistes primarily for beginners and intermediates.
Piancavello was the first resort in Italy to offer a snow guarantee with 40 of its snow cannons many years ago, and the resort continues ot impress schools with its quality of piste grooming.
Piancavello is the biggest and most popular resort in the Fruli-Venezi-Giulia province. The resort is famous in Italian skiing circles for hosting multiple international ski competitions, including World Cups. Despite the prevalence of beginner and intermediate slopes in the resort, the scope of diversity is such that the Italian National Team frequently train on the black runs.
All of the slopes are connected so you will never have the need to remove skis, and most have multiple route options. This diversity and ski-friendly layout is seen as a major advantage over other resorts.
Ski lifts are of the 3 and 4 seater variety and all slopes face south, offering warmth all day long.
For schools that are not looking for a large, busy resorts and instead are happy to choose a smaller resort that offers high quality inter-connected slopes that are beginner and intermediate friendly, Piancavello is hard to beat.
