Villard de Lans is one of the biggest ski areas of Europe with 130km of downhill and 160km of nordic skiing on the doorstep. 29 lifts serve 32 individual pistes, and the resort own an impressive 220 snow cannons. The ski area is particularly well known in ski circles for its variety of slope.
The resort immerses pupils in all things skiing, as well as offering schools a true French experience for the week. Being a relatively high resort, schools can also be sure of decent snow conditions.
Villard de Lans is classified as being 'excellent' for beginners and intermediates, and 'good' for experts. The local ESF ski school also offers exceptional teaching with fluent instructors, and the evening entertainments programme in resort is both extensive and varied.
