Claviere is a distinguished ski village and part of the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area in Italy, the home of the 2006 Winter Olympics. Uniquely with the Italian/French border bisecting the village a school ski trip to Claviere offers extensive and unrivalled access to some of the best pistes available in Europe, and across two countries.
Both chairlifts in the village are within walking distance of the 321ski accommodation, and an excellent nursery slope is opposite the hotel. Après-ski can be enjoyed in the hotel, or in neighbouring towns such as Cesana and Bardonecchia.
As part of the Milky Way the resort is skiable from the beginning of December through to the end of April, making the ski village an excellent choice for schools that expect the very best snow conditions. The issued ski pass allows skiing in both Italy and France, with a day in Montgenevere and another across the Milky Way included.
The resorts comes highly recommended for all school ski trips from December to mid April, and offer great value for money - for both skiiers and snowboarders.
